Taking The Paper Route

Taking The Paper Route

We love candlelight, and we love sharing our candles with customers all over Australia so everyone can enjoy the glow. But with making and shipping comes responsibility, and with so much plastic ending up in our oceans, we've decided we do not want to be a part of the problem.

There are smarter and more aesthetically pleasing ways to ship and package candles than single-use plastic that gets thrown out as soon as the candle is received, yet stays around for a long, long time (plastic can take anywhere from 10 to 1000 years to photodegrade, and the microscopic granules which it turns into might never fully decompose, eventually infiltrating every step of the food chain). So we've done the research and come to a fully paper-based solution for shipping and packing all our candles.

Paper wrapped candles

Candles are heavy and fragile to an extent, and so when shipping candles you want to make sure they are packaged well so they are protected during their journey. Rather than throw a lot of plastic at this challenge, at Candle Kiosk we've chosen to go a more considered route; we make our packaging entirely out of recycled paper, from the box to the protective buffers inside. And the candles are individually wrapped in tissue paper, not plastic.

So you receive your candles undamaged, without damaging the world.
